Finally, I made a new exhibition of my paintings after two years. In fact, It’s an exhibition of paintings and prints, which allow me to fulfill the space available. If you pass in Quebec city go visit Brûlerie St-Roch (375 St-Joseph street, in front of Gabrielle-Roy library). I split the space with Drea, a very talented artist. The exhibition is on for the entire month of september.
The very last paintings of the summer. I just started school so I may have a little less time to paint in the next weeks.
The web site has been entirely improved; you are now on a WordPress site! As a matter of fact, you may not see a big difference; the modifications have more impact for me. Putting the site on WordPress allow me to easier updates and to link the news with my Facebook page. Artwork section is now in flash and is divided in three groups: paintings, commissioned work and drawings. Shop page as been entirely re-vamped: you can now buy art prints of several paintings at a small cost! All prints are part of a very limited edition (50), are hand-signed and reach the highest standards of quality (a print can last 200 years if framed under a glass).
You may found some mistakes in my written English and bugs in the site; please tell me if you do so I can correct them :-).
Bonne visite!
I now have some paintings at Guy Levesque gallery, a good friend of mine, on Sault au Matelot street in Quebec Old Port (a street with several art galleries).
Two new paintings!
The first one is a kind of wedding picture with a scarecrow and a crow (Salut Mr. Burton).
The second one is an Indian. It’s about uprooting and deportation, things that I have the misfortune to experiment those days…
The new tourist map of Bastien-Racine is now available. It’s an improved version of the 2009 map with more stores and a slightly different view. I made the illustration with acrylic and the layout of the map in InDesign. For those who know a little bit Quebec, you will recognize Wendake in the top of the map.
A painting inspired by some clients of a bar in Quebec city.
Few months ago, I had a phone call from a New York advertising agency asking me to make the the graphic design of a tv commercial for Colgate. In the spot, there was a young boy who was visiting three planets corresponding to the three meals of the day. I had to create a different background for each planet and to design several characters. Here are some sketches:
