…here is the result of the project on which I dedicated myself for two month. The painting is composed of eight panels made from steel studs and plywood andcovered with coton canvas. Each panel is 16’ height by 8’ width and the wholehas 61’ by 16’. The initial idea of the project comes from Pierre Martin andAnnie Saucier, architects, the sketches were made by Annie Saucier and me and, finally, I conducted and realized the painting in a workshop.
The painting represents an abstract composition evocating the sea and the sky. There’s a boat in a storm on the second panel which can somehow remember us ofthe firsts men who came across the sea to discover Canada.
It’s installed in the main hall of a brand new federal building in a new eco-districtof Quebec City.

A new cover made for the literary magazine Chameaux. This is the number four on ” monsters ” in literature.
I just bought a new flash gallery (Simpleviewer Pro) for the website. It must make the navigation much easier. Now there is also the possibility to launch a diaporama and to put each gallery in full screen.
Here is a new painting inspired by the finnish landscapes. I made a few sketches after a walk in the surroundings of my flat in Hervanta and then decided to make a whole painting out of it.
My exchange semester at the Tampere University of Technology is going well. Here is a new commission that I made between two courses. Tell me if you found something finnish in it…
Before my departure for Finland I decided to make two new exhibitions in Quebec city. Indeed, the first one will take place at La Korrigane Brewery (380 Dorchester St, Quebec) from november 3 until november 29. The second one will be installed the 30th of november and will last until the 27th of december at La Barberie Brewery ( 310 St-Roch St., Quebec).
Finally, I made a new exhibition of my paintings after two years. In fact, It’s an exhibition of paintings and prints, which allow me to fulfill the space available. If you pass in Quebec city go visit Brûlerie St-Roch (375 St-Joseph street, in front of Gabrielle-Roy library). I split the space with Drea, a very talented artist. The exhibition is on for the entire month of september.
The very last paintings of the summer. I just started school so I may have a little less time to paint in the next weeks.
The web site has been entirely improved; you are now on a WordPress site! As a matter of fact, you may not see a big difference; the modifications have more impact for me. Putting the site on WordPress allow me to easier updates and to link the news with my Facebook page. Artwork section is now in flash and is divided in three groups: paintings, commissioned work and drawings. Shop page as been entirely re-vamped: you can now buy art prints of several paintings at a small cost! All prints are part of a very limited edition (50), are hand-signed and reach the highest standards of quality (a print can last 200 years if framed under a glass).
You may found some mistakes in my written English and bugs in the site; please tell me if you do so I can correct them :-).
Bonne visite!
I now have some paintings at Guy Levesque gallery, a good friend of mine, on Sault au Matelot street in Quebec Old Port (a street with several art galleries).
